Job summary

Stormont Vail HealthCare, Inc. is seeking a Telecommunications Operator for the second shift in the United States.

The role handles all incoming/outgoing calls, monitors alarms and activates emergency tones, and uses multiple software systems to send notifications to medical center staff. Ideal candidates have at least 3 months of related experience, can multi-task under interruptions, and maintain detailed documentation.

Qualifications

• 3 months of related experience.
• Knowledgeable in the HICS Emergency Notification Process.
• Capable of multi-tasking with numerous interruptions.

Responsibilities

• Answer and distribute all incoming calls in a timely and accurate manner.
• Provide operator assistance to all callers as needed.
• Monitor the Simplex system and take appropriate actions when necessary.
• Activate EMERGENCY TONE for Code Blue and Severe Weather as needed.
• Answer 6444 Emergency Assistance Line and follow policy/procedure.
• Make overhead announcements including Code Blue and Fire Alarm.
• Monitor weather and other alerts and implement department procedures.
• Document and keep detailed records in logs within Telecommunications.
