Qualifications

• Two years of experience with two-way radio, multi-line telephone, or computer aided dispatch systems.
• Two years of experience using computer systems for entering, updating, and retrieving information.
• Completion of 60 college credits; or an equivalent combination of experience and training.

Responsibilities

• Call Handling: Receive and assess emergency and non-emergency calls from the public and dispatch required responses.
• Incident Coordination: Relay information to Troopers and responders via radio, telephone, and computer systems.
• Record Management: Enter, research, and update data in electronic databases.
• Public Assistance: Respond to inquiries and provide information per department procedures.
• Visitor Support: Greet station visitors and connect them with appropriate personnel.
• Training Participation: Attend required training and assist in training new operators.
