The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking a Police Communications Operator to guide critical information and support State Police operations. You will receive and transmit communications, coordinate responses, and help Troopers act quickly in emergencies and routine requests to protect the public.

Key duties include handling emergency and non-emergency calls, relaying information by radio, telephone, and computer systems, maintaining records, greeting visitors, and training new operators.

Formación

• Two years of experience using two-way radio, multi-line telephone, or CAD systems.
• Two years of experience using computer systems for entering, updating, and retrieving information.
• Completion of 60 college credits.
• An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Responsabilidades

• Receive and assess emergency and non-emergency calls and dispatch responses.
• Relay information to Troopers and responders via radio, telephone, and computer systems.
• Enter, research, and update data in electronic databases.
• Respond to administrative inquiries and provide information per procedures.
• Greet station visitors and connect them with appropriate personnel.
• Attend training sessions and assist with training new operators.
