Responsibilities

• Answers phone calls including 911 and administrative lines.
• Uses customer service practices appropriate for varying situations.
• Receives and screens incoming requests via telephone, radio, and computer terminal.
• Inputs call information into CAD system for emergency and non-emergency transports.
• Operates two-way radio and other communications equipment to dispatch law enforcement, fire, rescue, medical and other personnel.
• Provides post-dispatch and/or pre-arrival instructions when appropriate.
• Coordinates law enforcement, fire, ambulance, and other emergency requests and relays instructions.
• Maintains proficiency in CAD, Radio, E911, and ProQA contingency procedures.
