Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Typing speed of 20 words per minute minimum.
• Clear speaking voice and ability to read maps.
• Pass a thorough background investigation.
• Ability to operate multiple computers and screens.

Responsibilities

• Receives, classifies, processes and dispatches emergency calls.
• Receives, records and forwards non-emergency calls for service.
• Assists law enforcement, medical, fire, EMS and related requests.
• Operates radios, telephone switchboard, recording devices and computer terminals.
• Maintains records and reports; maps and data mapping systems.
