Job summary

Corewell Health's Royal Oak Hospital in Michigan is seeking an experienced RN for the Emergency Center night shift. You will apply the nursing process to deliver patient-centered care, assess needs, and discharge patients within a Level I trauma center context.

The role emphasizes collaboration with families, education, and adherence to hospital policies, with opportunities for professional growth in a busy, academically oriented department.

Qualifications

• Associates or Diploma in Nursing is required.
• Bachelors in Nursing required within 5 years if new graduate/nurse with less than one (1) year experience.
• Graduates from a non-accredited school of nursing must have at least one year of acute care experience or at least two years of experience in a licensed health care role and must have successfully passed the NCLEX licensure examination
• MI Registered Nurse (RN) license required

Responsibilities

• The RN utilizes the nursing process to provide professional nursing care with patient-family centered care principles to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and discharge.
• Provide quality patient care under the direction of the Nurse Leader according to Corewell Health policies and procedures and recognize the impact of nursing care and patient/family partnerships on patient outcomes.
• Partner with patient/family input and goals in planning the plan of care and develop teaching strategies for patient/family; document education in the health record.
