Job summary

Corewell Health’s Emergency Center - Royal Oak Hospital is seeking an experienced RN to provide professional nursing care in a busy trauma-focused setting. You will apply patient-family centered care principles, assess and plan care, and discharge patients under the direction of the Nurse Leader.

This full-time night shift requires an active MI RN license, BLS/ACLS/TNCC/ENPC within specified timeframes, and a commitment to ongoing certification.

Qualifications

• Associates or Diploma in Nursing required.
• Bachelor's in Nursing required within 5 years if new graduate or with less than one year experience.
• Graduates from non-accredited nursing schools must have at least one year acute care experience or two years in a licensed health care role and must pass NCLEX.
• MI Registered Nurse (RN) required.
• BLS required upon hire/transfer (AHA/ARC/Canadian).
• ACLS within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• TNCC within 1 year of hire/transfer.
• ENPC within 15 months of hire/transfer.
• Specialty Certification highly recommended within 2 years.
• RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care using the nursing process; assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and discharge.
• Collaborate with Nurse Leader and care teams to ensure patient-family centered care.
• Document education and learning in the health record.
• Partner with patients and families to plan and adjust the care plan.
