Job summary

Regional 911 Intake Solutions seeks motivated 911 Call Takers to join a critical public safety team in Ohio. You will handle emergency and nonemergency calls, verify locations and contacts, and document information for dispatch coordination.

Training and certification support are provided to ensure correct procedures are followed. Successful candidates will demonstrate listening comprehension, accurate typing, and clear verbal communication, with a focus on following structured guidelines and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; dispatch experience helpful but not always required.
• Strong listening skills, accurate typing, and clear verbal communication are essential.
• Ability to follow structured procedures and complete assessments per agency requirements.

Responsibilities

• Answer emergency and nonemergency lines.
• Confirm incident location and caller contact details.
• Use approved questions to identify the nature and urgency of the situation.
• Enter details into call-processing or dispatch software.
• Forward incident information promptly to the appropriate dispatch function.
• Provide pre-arrival instructions only within training and certification.
