Public Safety Dispatch Network in Kamuela, HI is seeking 911 Call Takers to be the first point of contact for emergencies. You will ask focused questions, confirm locations, document details, and coordinate with dispatch teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous customer service or call center experience preferred.
• Strong listening skills and accurate typing essential.
• Ability to follow structured procedures and respond calmly in emergencies.

Responsabilités

• Answer incoming emergency calls and assign nonemergency lines.
• Confirm incident location and caller contact information.
• Use approved questions to identify nature and urgency.
• Enter details into call-processing or dispatch software.
• Forward incident information promptly to the appropriate dispatch function.
• Provide pre-arrival instructions only within training and certification.
