Regional 911 Intake Solutions is seeking 911 Call Takers who will be among the first to assist individuals reporting emergencies. The role involves asking targeted questions, confirming locations, and documenting information for responders.

Training and certification govern the provision of authorized pre-arrival instructions. Typical duties include handling both emergency and nonemergency lines, operating dispatch software, and maintaining accurate information while following established

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; customer service experience helpful.
• Strong listening comprehension and accurate data entry are essential.
• Ability to follow structured procedures and remain calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming emergency calls and assigned nonemergency lines
• Confirm the incident location and caller’s callback information
• Use approved questions to identify the nature and urgency of the situation
• Enter accurate details into call-processing or dispatch software
• Forward incident information promptly to the appropriate dispatch function
• Help distressed callers focus on essential questions and instructions
