The Regional 911 Intake Solutions is seeking a trusted Call Taker to join our emergency communications team in Chagrin Falls, OH. You will answer incoming calls, verify details, enter data into dispatch systems, and forward information promptly to the appropriate units.

Responsibilities emphasize accuracy, calm communication, adherence to scripts, and the ability to work rotating shifts, nights, weekends, and overtime in a 24/7 environment. Strong listening and typing skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; dispatch experience helpful but not always required.
• Strong listening and typing skills; clear verbal communication essential.
• Ability to follow structured procedures and work under pressure.

Responsabilités

• Answer incoming emergency calls and assigned nonemergency lines.
• Confirm incident location and caller’s callback information.
• Use approved questions to identify nature and urgency of the situation.
• Enter accurate details into call-processing or dispatch software.
• Forward incident information promptly to the appropriate dispatch function.
• Help distressed callers focus on essential questions and instructions.
• Use language-access and accessibility resources as needed.
• Provide pre-arrival instructions only within training and certification.
