This role supports a 24/7 environment and may involve rotating shifts to ensure coverage. Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent and strong listening, typing, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong listening comprehension and accurate typing.
• Clear verbal communication and ability to follow procedures.
• Customer service or public safety experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming emergency calls and assigned nonemergency lines.
• Confirm incident location and caller's callback information.
• Use approved questions to identify nature and urgency of the situation.
• Enter accurate details into call-processing or dispatch software.
• Forward incident information promptly to the appropriate dispatch function.
• Provide authorized pre-arrival instructions within training.
