Job summary

GitLab is hiring for an Associate Renewal Manager to manage an assigned portfolio of customer renewals, drive on-time closures, and identify opportunities to expand GitLab adoption. This role emphasizes practical execution, collaboration with Sales, Customer Success, and Finance, and adherence to GitLab's remote, asynchronous working style.

The ideal candidate can navigate basic renewal processes, communicate effectively, and travel for events as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience with renewal processes and renewals lifecycle.
• Ability to handle multi-year deals, upsell renewals, or non-standard terms.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned portfolio of renewals and drive on-time closures.
• Conduct consultative conversations to understand product usage and future plans.
• Identify and surface expansion opportunities such as additional seats or modules.
• Surface new use cases and connect customer needs to GitLab capabilities.
• Prepare and send renewal quotes, order forms, and documentation on schedule.
• Analyze renewal terms and usage trends, escalating irregularities to senior staff.
• Explain renewal terms to customers and internal stakeholders to build alignment.
• Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, and Finance to unblock renewals and identify expansion.
