Job summary

GitLab seeks an Associate Renewals Manager to work fully remotely in an all-remote, asynchronous environment. You will manage renewal portfolios, drive on-time closures, and have consultative conversations with customers to understand usage and future needs.

You will surface expansion opportunities and coordinate with Sales, Customer Success, and Finance to enable growth. You will prepare renewal quotes, analyze renewal scenarios, and maintain CRM accuracy while following defined processes.

Qualifications

• Experience managing renewals portfolios and associated processes.
• Ability to travel for events such as trainings and meetings.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Collaborative mindset with openness to feedback and coaching from seniors.
• Growth mindset and sense of ownership.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned portfolio of customer renewals tracking key dates and driving them to on-time closure.
• Have consultative conversations with customers to understand usage and future directions.
• Identify and surface expansion opportunities (seats, tiers, modules).
• Probe for new use cases and connect to GitLab capabilities not yet used.
• Prepare and send renewal quotes, order forms, and related documentation on schedule.
• Analyze renewal situations (usage, terms, pricing) and escalate risks as needed.
• Explain renewal terms to customers and internal stakeholders to build alignment.
• Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, and Finance to enable expansion and remove blockers.
• Maintain accurate CRM records for forecasting and reporting.
• Prioritize tasks with guidance from senior team members.
• Contribute to team goals by working with peer Renewals Managers.
