Pratt & Whitney in East Hartford, CT seeks an Embedded Systems Engineer for the Control & Diagnostic Systems (CDS) team. You will develop, integrate, and certify embedded control and diagnostic software for aircraft engines, collaborating with system architects and engineers.

The role emphasizes C development, RTOS concepts, and real-time performance, with opportunities to influence hardware/software integration and compliance with MIL-STD-516 and DO-178.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM required.
• 2+ years engineering experience.
• Embedded software development in C/C++ is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to requirements definition, software architecture, and low-level design for embedded software in C.
• Assist compliance efforts with airworthiness standards (MIL-STD-516 and DO-178).
• Support hardware/software integration and debugging on target platforms with analyzers, emulators, and test benches.
• Collaborate with architects and cross-functional teams; communicate status, risks, and mitigation plans.
