Job summary

RTX Goleta, CA is seeking a Software Security Engineer II to join our Software Product Assurance team. You will develop security-focused embedded software, implement security principles, and work with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver secure sensor software.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s in STEM with 2+ years in C/C++, experience with VxWorks or Embedded Linux, and the ability to obtain interim Secret clearance. This onsite role offers competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM and 2+ years of software experience.
• Experience with C/C++ development on embedded platforms.
• Experience with VxWorks Embedded Linux or similar.
• Must be able to obtain interim Secret clearance and be a U.S. citizen.

Responsibilities

• Develop security software for embedded sensor systems.
• Apply software security principles to design, develop, and test.
• Follow SW Product Assurance processes across programs.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to meet TDMC requirements.
• Interface with customers to review designs and verify maturity.
