Job summary

RTX seeks a Software Security Engineer II in McKinney, TX to join onsite. The role focuses on delivering security-focused software for real-time embedded sensor systems, requiring strong C/C++ and scripting skills, plus a U.S. Secret clearance.

You will develop across platforms, implement TDMC-based deployment, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure, robust software in a DoD context.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) from an accredited university with a minimum of 2 years of relevant software experience.
• Experience with C/C++ and scripting languages like Python, Perl, or similar.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum/Kanban or similar development environment as part of a software team.
• Education or on-the-job experience in RTOS, kernel or device driver development, software integration, or similar.
• Active/Existing U.S. Secret level security clearance and U.S. citizenship are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide world-class Security Software for deployed sensor systems across platforms.
• Implement Software Security principles for embedded software design, development, integration, and testing.
• Develop software applications using multiple programming languages on various computing platforms.
• Ensure adherence to Software Product Assurance processes on programs.
• Understand real-time software design and performance implications of security implementations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement TDMC-based execution development and deployment requirements.
• Operate in a common development environment to support program capabilities.
