Job summary

RTX in Goleta, CA is seeking an experienced Embedded Software Security Engineer to design, implement, and test real-time security-focused software for DoD-grade sensor systems. You will work on C/C++ applications across multiple platforms, contribute to TDMC-based development, and interface with customers to review designs and verify system maturity.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in STEM and 5+ years of embedded software experience, with a DoD security clearance eligibility.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s in STEM and a minimum of 5 years of software experience.
• Experience developing software using C / C++.
• Experience with Xilinx MPSoC, Versal or similar Embedded Processors.
• Experience with embedded OS like VxWorks or Embedded Linux.
• Embedded Software Security experience.
• The ability to obtain and maintain an interim Secret U.S. security clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop software applications using C and C++ on various platforms.
• Ensure the SW Product Assurance processes are followed.
• Understand real-time software design and performance implications of security implementations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement TDMC-based development and deployment.
• Interface with customer communities to review design and verify system maturity.
