Job summary

RTX in El Segundo, CA is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer II to join our onsite team. You will develop and integrate real-time software for military and commercial programs with a focus on end-user needs and system reliability.

You will collaborate with Systems Engineers, participate in the full SDLC, and contribute to Linux/VxWorks environments while using Git/GitLab in a DevSecOps style. Remote work is not specified; some travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) required.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in embedded real-time software.
• Experience in developing, testing, and integrating real-time software applications written in C++ or similar.
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement software for real-time applications as part of a multi-disciplined team.
• Support software development life cycle from concept and requirements through design, development, integration, test, and maintenance.
• Work with Systems Engineers to design solutions that meet end-user and operational needs.
• Occasional business travel may be required.
