Job summary

RTX Goleta, CA is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Real-time Embedded to join our Electronic Warfare software team. You will work on real-time embedded products within an agile, cross-disciplinary environment.

Qualifications

• Typically requires STEM degree and 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in software design, integration and test using C/C++.
• Experience with embedded microprocessor design, SoC software, FPGAs, high-speed transceivers, DDR, flash memories.

Responsibilities

• Participate in cross-disciplined product teams using agile methodologies to plan, design, test and integrate software and systems solutions.
• Innovate implementations of new products and technologies from architecture to lab and field testing.
• Collaborate with systems, firmware, electrical and software engineers on planning and technical work products.
• Develop software requirements and FPGA interface requirements from system-level requirements and perform simulations and testing in a lab setting.
• Work in an advanced product development team environment with multi-disciplinary engineers.
• Handle fast-paced product development including collaboration with Systems and Electrical Engineers.
• Occasional business-related travel may be required.
