Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Sector in Beavercreek, OH is seeking two Associate Embedded Software Engineers or Embedded Software Engineers to join the IMS Embedded Software Engineering Team. You will be integral to Embedded Operational Flight Program modernization, sustainment, emulation, and simulation on an interdisciplinary team.

This full-time, on-site role supports development in C/C++ or Python, collaboration with program management, and the potential for a DoD Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent STEM related discipline.
• Proficiency in C/C++ or Python and Object‑Oriented programming
• Proficiency in all areas of the software development lifecycle process from requirements to testing
• Proficiency in analytical thinking and problem‑solving
• Highly motivated self‑starters and able to efficiently operate in a team environment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Must currently hold or be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret level security clearance
• Minimum of 2 years of direct relevant experience with B.S degree; minimum of 0 years with M.S.

Responsibilities

• Develop, modify, and maintain embedded real time software and tools following best practices and standards.
• Participate in the full software development life cycle, to include requirements development, modeling and design, testing, integration, formal system testing, release, installation, and maintenance.
• Provide leadership in solving complex problems.
• Interact with Program Management and customers applying excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
