Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems in Linthicum, MD is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to join our Software Technologies Organization. You will contribute to SSE software, cybersecurity, and software assurance across the full software lifecycle, primarily using C/C++ and Python in an embedded environment.

The role requires U.S. citizenship and a current Secret Clearance to start; prior experience with DevSecOps, Linux, VxWorks, and Real-Time OS is highly valued.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline and 2 years of related experience; OR a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline and 0 years of related experience.
U.S. Citizenship is required; Secret Clearance required to start and maintain employment.
Experience with C/C++ and/or Python; Agile software development in embedded systems.
Experience with security-oriented engineering practices (DevSecOps, software assurance).

Responsibilities

Software developer for SSE software focused on cybersecurity and program protection.
Conduct vulnerability scanning, remediation and patch management.
Develop and execute unit tests and verification test plans; track test status.
Participate in peer reviews and agile software development lifecycle.
