Job summary

Northrop Grumman Corp. (AU) is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join our Aeronautics Systems team in Oklahoma City, OK. You will help advance strategic operating units through sustainment and modernization programs and contribute across the software life cycle.

In this role you’ll work with C, C++, Python, and other languages, apply safety-critical embedded RT software practices, and collaborate in Agile teams with DevOps tooling and rigorous change control processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master/PhD in STEM with extensive software engineering experience.
• Familiar with Safety‑Critical Embedded Real‑Time Software.
• SDLC knowledge with Agile (Product Owner/Scrum Master) roles.
• Experience in C, C++, Python, and scripting for safety‑critical apps.
• Familiar with RTOS such as VxWorks, Integrity, RT Linux.
• Proficient with static/dynamic analysis tools and CI/CD.
• Active U.S. government Secret level clearance or higher.

Responsibilities

• Support development of Strategic Operating Units, sustaining and modernization programs.
• Contribute to software engineering initiatives across multiple programs (design, test, DevOps).
• Use diverse languages, technologies and industry best practices.
• Support all phases of the software life cycle for flight, mission, lab and tools software.
