Job summary

Amazon Leo is seeking an experienced software engineer to help build embedded software for our low Earth orbit satellite network in San Diego. You will design and implement firmware in Rust, C, or C++, and develop drivers for I2C, SPI, CAN, and other interfaces.

Join a cross-disciplinary team delivering fast, reliable internet to customers and government partners while advancing security features and robust system architecture across satellite platforms.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded software for satellite systems in Rust, C, or C++.
• Write device drivers and system applications for interfaces like I2C, SPI, CAN.
• Develop security features for satellite systems.
• Work with software and hardware teams to support board bring-up and integration.
