Job summary

Amazon Leo Government seeks aDevice Software Development Engineer to design and develop embedded software for satellite and ground systems, focusing on fault-tolerant, real-time platforms. You will collaborate with hardware, systems, and product teams to deliver secure, high-performance software for U.S.

and allied missions, with on-site work five days a week. Relocation may be offered to Northridge, El Segundo, or Arlington, and the role requires strong SDLC discipline and mentoring of junior

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture of new and existing systems experience.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
• Hands-on experience with Linux kernel internals, cryptography, and secure SDLC practices (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize embedded software for satellite and ground terminal systems.
• Leverage Embedded Linux and RTOS platforms to develop scalable, modular software.
• Implement and integrate software for data processing, device control, and networking protocols (TCP/IP, UDP).
• Debug and resolve hardware-software integration issues with diagnostic tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure hardware-software reliability.
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in design reviews.
