Job summary

Amazon Leo, Amazon’s low Earth orbit satellite network, seeks software engineers to contribute across the full development lifecycle for real-time embedded systems in a satellite constellation. You will design and implement in C/C++, Rust, and related languages, shaping software from requirements through operations.

You will collaborate with hardware teams, mentor teammates, and help ensure reliability and performance of flight software used across the constellation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of programming in at least one language.
• 5+ years leading design/architecture of systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded software in C, C++, Rust, or other RTOS-based languages.
• Architect, design, and implement software for satellite constellation.
• Interface with devices using I2C, SPI, RS-422/485, Ethernet.
• Write device drivers and flight management applications.
• Collaborate with hardware teams on bring-up and testing.
