AeroVironment, Inc. in Moorpark, CA is seeking an entry-level Software Engineer I (Embedded) to develop software for unmanned and robotic systems, writing code for embedded devices and testing in flight environments.

You will design, implement, test and debug system software, support integration of sensors and processors, and help transition software to production and certification. Requires BS in engineering and hands-on coding in C/C++, Python, with RTOS/STM32 familiarity.

Formación

• BS degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 0–2 years of embedded software experience.
• Experience debugging and troubleshooting systems.
• Proficiency in Python, C, and C++11.
• Knowledge of common interfaces: RS-485, RS-232, CAN, I2C, SPI, USB.

Responsabilidades

• Writes and tests software to support integration of sensors and embedded processors into aircraft or robotic systems.
• Designs and implements software for prototypes and products using established tools and practices.
• Ensures good configuration control and management of software.
• Assists in writing system requirements, test plans, and validation testing of software.
• Supports transition of development software to production environments and certification.
