Job summary

HRU Technical Resources seeks an embedded software engineer for 100% onsite work in Sterling Heights, MI. You will develop and support embedded software for a new ground combat vehicle program, contributing across the full software lifecycle from requirements to testing.

The role requires a Bachelor's in a related field and 1–4 years of software development experience, with proficiency in Git, C/C++, Java, Python, and Qt. Security clearance eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• > Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline
• > 1–4 years of software development or related engineering experience
• > Experience with Git, GitLab, Bitbucket, Java, C#, C++, C, Python, and Qt
• > Experience with mixed operating systems (VxWorks, Linux, RTOS) and networking protocols (RS-232/422, CAN, TCP/IP, UDP/IP)
• > Familiarity with Agile development processes and tools

Responsibilities

• Develop software documentation and code across vehicle domains (board support, cybersecurity, displays, downloading)
• Perform software requirements analysis and design
• Develop, integrate, and test software code and document results
• Contribute to software releases and collaborate across departments
