Job summary

HRU Technical Resources seeks an experienced embedded software engineer to join a defense vehicle program. You will design and migrate to a new software development environment, create requirements and architecture documentation, and develop and test code across several vehicle domains, ensuring integration with other departments.

The role emphasizes leading agile ceremonies, performing software requirements analysis, and delivering robust software in a 9/80 work schedule with onsite facilities.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer or Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 7+ years of experience in a related role.
• Experience with GIT, Bitbucket, Java, C#, C++, C, Python tools.
• Experience with mixed OS environments (VxWorks, Linux, RTOS).
• Experience with serial and network protocols (RS-232/422, CAN, TCP/IP, UDP/IP).
• Experience with middleware (DDS, Kafka) and TSN architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and test a new software development environment.
• Develop software documentation and code across vehicle domains.
• Perform software requirements analysis.
• Develop software designs and code per department standards.
• Develop test procedures and perform unit/functional tests.
• Interface with Systems Engineering, Project Management, and Software Quality.
• Lead agile ceremonies (daily scrums, PI planning, retrospectives).
