Job summary

Moseley Technical Services, Inc. is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer in Sterling Heights, MI to develop, integrate, and test embedded application software for ground combat vehicle systems in a 100% onsite environment.

The role covers SDLC activities, C/C++ development, testing, hardware/software integration, and releases across VxWorks, Linux, RTOS, virtualization, and BSPs. Requires 4+ years in embedded software and active eligibility for a Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required by law or government contract.
• Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
• 4+ years of experience in software engineering, embedded software development, or related technical role.
• Experience with Java, C#, C++, Python, and Qt.
• Experience with Git, GitLab, and/or Bitbucket.
• Experience with VxWorks, Linux, RTOS, virtualization, BSPs, and GVOS.
• Experience with RS-232/422, CAN, TCP/IP, UDP/IP.
• Experience with DDS, Kafka, or other publish/subscribe middleware.
• Experience with ground combat vehicle network architectures.
• Experience with MOSA, SOSA, FACE.
• Experience with Agile processes and tools.
• Ability to work 100% onsite.

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded software documentation and code across vehicle domains.
• Perform software requirements analysis and develop supporting documentation.
• Design software using approved tools and standards.
• Implement designs in code per standards.
• Create test procedures and perform unit/functional testing.
• Integrate hardware/software across embedded systems.
• Debug and resolve issues across multiple phases.
• Provide status updates to software leads and teams.
• Contribute to integrated software releases.
• Collaborate with Systems Engineering, Software Quality, and other units.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies.
