This 100% onsite role covers the full software development lifecycle, from requirements to releases, in a defense-focused environment. You will design and code in C++, work with DOS and multiple OSs, use Git tools, participate in Agile ceremonies, and collaborate with Systems Engineering and Software

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 7+ years of experience in a related software development role.
• Strong C++ development experience.
• Experience with DOS.
• Experience with Git, GitLab, and/or Bitbucket.

Responsibilities

• Develop software documentation and code across vehicle domains such as board support, cybersecurity, displays, or downloading.
• Perform software requirements analysis.
• Develop preliminary and detailed software designs using department-approved design tools and standards.
• Develop C++ code in accordance with established department standards and procedures.
• Develop test procedures and perform unit and functional testing of executable software.
• Perform hardware/software integration.
• Debug software issues identified throughout multiple testing phases.
• Provide development task status updates to software project leads.
• Contribute to software releases involving multiple developers.
• Interface with Systems Engineering and Software Quality.
• Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies.
• Support continuous improvement processes and methodologies.
