Job summary

Serco Inc. is seeking an Experienced Electrical Engineer to support NSWC PCD efforts in Florida.

You will design mixed-signal hardware, implement microprocessor systems via C/C++, and develop thorough test plans while coordinating with a diverse engineering team. Qualified candidates have 5+ years in embedded hardware design, strong schematic/PCB skills (Altium/Siemens Xpedition/OrCAD/Allegro), and a clear understanding of EMI/EMC and signal integrity.

Qualifications

Active interim secret clearance; ability to obtain/maintain TS/SCI clearance.
US citizenship.
Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline.
5 years of similar/related experience.
3 years of embedded hardware design and full product lifecycle development.

Responsibilities

Lead the design of mixed-signal hardware systems including microcontrollers and power management.
Create detailed schematics and multi-layer PCB layouts using industry-standard EDA tools.
Ensure adherence to signal integrity, power integrity, and EMI/EMC compliance.
Implement microprocessors into designs using C/C++.
Run test simulations using Spice software (LTspice, Pspice, etc.).
Assemble, test, and bring-up hardware prototypes.
Use lab equipment to verify system performance against specs.
Develop hardware test plans, thermal and reliability testing.
Troubleshoot hardware issues down to component level.
Create and maintain engineering documentation including BOMs and schematics.
