Job summary

Serco Inc. seeks an Experienced Electronics Technician on-site at NSWC PCD in Panama City, Florida. You will join a diverse team of engineers and technicians to design and test unmanned systems hardware for critical defense missions.

Required: active interim Secret with potential TS/SCI clearance, US citizenship, and 5 years of embedded hardware design experience. Proficiency in schematic/PCB tools and C/C++ is essential.

Qualifications

• Active Interim Secret clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI.
• US Citizenship.
• Bachelor’s in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field.
• 5 years of similar/related experience.
• 3 years of embedded hardware design and full product lifecycle development.
• Extensive experience with schematic capture and PCB layout tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of mixed-signal hardware systems and sensor interfaces.
• Create detailed schematics and PCB layouts using industry tools.
• Ensure signal integrity, power integrity, EMI/EMC compliance.
• Implement microprocessors using C/C++ in designs.
• Run test simulations with LTspice or PSpice and test prototypes.
• Assemble, test, and bring-up hardware prototypes on-site.
• Utilize lab equipment to verify performance and document results.
• Develop hardware test plans, thermal and reliability testing.
• Troubleshoot hardware issues to the component level.
• Create documentation including BOMs, schematics, and user guides.
