Job summary

SCCI in Dahlgren, VA seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer to contribute to DoD programs, including circuit design, PCB layouts, cables, and harnesses, with cross-team collaboration to meet project milestones.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in the field, a BS in a technical discipline, and can obtain a DoD clearance. Proficiency with OrCad Cadence, Visio, and SolidWorks is preferred, along with hands-on fabrication and embedded software awareness.

Qualifications

U.S. citizen capable of attaining and maintaining a DoD security clearance.
BS degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline.
Seven (7)+ years of experience as an Electrical Engineer in a professional environment.
Knowledge of Electrical Engineering best practices and rapid development processes.
Hands-on fabrication experience with soldering, cable making, oscilloscope, voltmeter, hand tools, crimpers, and PCB assembly.
Proven skills in electronic circuits, semiconductors, logic design, schematic capture and PCB layout, cable/harness design, and microprocessors.
Knowledge of Weapon Systems and Command & Control Systems.
Proficient with PCB design software (OrCad Cadence preferred).
Proficient with creating cable drawings (Visio preferred).
Knowledge of Embedded Software design best practices.
Familiarity with SolidWorks preferred.
Ability to work with changing program requirements.
Ability to define task details, estimates, and schedules.
Ability to work with others to meet established goals and program schedules.
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
