Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems Sector in IMS, Warner Robins, GA, seeks an Electrical Engineer to work on CCAs and other electronic assemblies, moving quickly from design decisions to prototyping and testing.

You will perform schematic capture, layout, BOM generation with Altium, Mentor Graphics or Cadence, work with embedded software teams, and maintain subsystem requirements. A BS in Electrical or Biomedical Engineering and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance are required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant experience with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering or Biomedical Engineering from ABET-accredited school; 0 years experience with Master’s degree.
• Experience developing detailed test plans and procedures to evaluate hardware.
• Experience in schematic capture, PCB layout, and component selection.
• Experience with understanding complex schematics and components.

Responsibilities

• Design, prototype, and test Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs) and other electronic assemblies using cutting-edge technologies to advance weapon system capability.
• Perform schematic capture, layout, and BOM generation using industry-standard tools (Altium, Mentor, Cadence).
• Work closely with embedded-software/firmware teams to define electrical interfaces, timing, and data-link protocols.
• Capture, maintain and update system and subsystem-level requirements.
