Job summary

SimVentions is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design rugged electronics for defense applications, focusing on PCB layout and RF/antenna design. An Active Secret Clearance is required, and US citizenship is necessary for access to classified information.

The candidate will contribute across the product lifecycle, from concept to production and sustainment, working in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment in Dahlgren, VA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• Active Secret Clearance required; US citizenship is required to obtain clearance.
• Experience in analog/digital circuit design, embedded MCUs, and compact antenna design.
• Ability to design, test, and integrate electrical and RF systems for austere environments.

Responsibilities

• Conducts R&D, testing, and integration of custom embedded systems and special communications capabilities.
• Develop rapid engineering solutions for emergent non-conventional threats by turning high-level requirements into designs.
• Completes design and development of electrical circuits, RF receivers, and compact antenna designs with minimal oversight; PCB layout and fabrication.
• Supports integration and testing to ensure reliable functionality; leads developmental and verification testing including EM and environmental testing.
• Coordinates with mechanical engineers for integration into customized mechanical packages; documents solutions under CM processes.
