Job summary

Mission Critical Group is seeking an FP&A Manager who will partner with local leadership to deliver real-time financial insight and strategic support. Embedded with operations, you’ll influence decisions and drive profitability across regional portfolios.

You'll build forecasts, model profitability, and support M&A due diligence while shaping a next-gen finance function that blends financial discipline with analytics in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• 3–7 years of progressive FP&A experience with business partnering.
• Demonstrated ability to influence operational decisions with financial insight.
• Advanced Excel with complex modeling and scenario analysis.
• Hands-on experience with at least one AI platform (Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot).
• Solid GAAP knowledge and financial statement analysis.
• Experience with percentage of completion accounting or construction/project contexts is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting to finance and non-finance audiences.

Responsibilities

• Deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting with variance analysis.
• Build rolling forecasts and dynamic financial models for real-time decisions.
• Perform deep-dive analyses on project profitability (POC) for construction/paving.
• Monitor KPIs: revenue, EBITDA, gross margin, backlog, working capital, cash conversion.
• Partner with local leaders; support pricing, bid/no-bid decisions, and initiatives.
• Assist M&A due diligence, integration planning, and post-acquisition tracking.
• Prepare board-ready materials and monthly business reviews.
• Collaborate on consolidations and intercompany reporting.
• Drive process improvements to shorten close cycles and improve forecasting.
• Develop BI dashboards and self-service analytics tools for regional stakeholders.
