Job summary

Mission Critical Group seeks a Director, FP&A who will partner with local leadership, delivering real-time financial insight that guides strategy and growth. This role embeds with operations to shape performance and accelerate profitability, blending traditional finance with analytics in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate brings 3–7 years in FP&A, advanced Excel, and GAAP expertise, with experience in manufacturing or construction-like settings and familiarity with AI platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• 3–7 years of FP&A or financial analysis; private equity portfolio experience helpful.
• Demonstrated ability to partner with operations and influence decisions.
• Advanced Excel with complex modeling and scenario analysis.
• Experience with at least one AI platform (Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot).
• Solid GAAP knowledge and financial statement analysis.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages with variance analysis.
• Build rolling forecasts and dynamic models for real-time decision-making.
• Perform deep-dive analyses of project profitability including POC reviews.
• Monitor KPIs: revenue, EBITDA, gross margin, backlog, working capital, cash conversion.
• Partner with local operations on pricing, bid/no-bid decisions, and initiatives.
• Support M&A due diligence and post-acquisition performance tracking.
• Prepare board-ready and sponsor-ready materials and reports.
