Job summary

Applied Intuition is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to own end-to-end hardware-software integration of drone autonomy on embedded platforms in Sunnyvale, CA. The role focuses on bringing autonomy stacks to life on real vehicle platforms, enabling SIL/HIL evaluations and live testing.

You will work on interfacing with sensors, autopilots, datalinks, and compute platforms, building scalable autonomy capabilities and performing end-to-end integration with DoD and commercial customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Robotics, CS, or related engineering field with 3+ years robotics experience
• Proficiency in modern C++ with Docker, Linux (Ubuntu/RHEL), and common tooling (git, GitLab, VS Code)
• Hands-on integration of robotics with Pixhawk autopilots and familiarity with UART/RS232/RS422/RS485, SPI/QSPI, I2C, Ethernet

Responsibilities

• Architect and field autonomy/vehicle intelligence systems on embedded platforms
• Integrate autonomy software with hardware including aircraft autopilots and sensors
• Develop service-oriented software and inter-process messaging for autonomous UAS
• Perform SIL/HIL bring-up, testing, and live flight validation across UAVs
• Collaborate with DoD warfighter domain experts and third-party vendors
