Job summary

Applied Intuition is seeking a Software Engineer (Drone Stack Team) to design and deploy end-to-end autonomy on defense UAV platforms. You will bring autonomy stacks to life on real vehicles, plan SIL/HIL tests, and support live field testing, interfacing with sensors, radios, and autopilots.

You’ll work across teams to ship reliable solutions for defense and commercial customers. A strong background in robotics, C++, Linux, and Docker is essential, with hands-on hardware/software integration

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Robotics, Computer Science, or related engineering discipline.
At least 3 years of hands-on robotics experience spanning hardware, software, and systems integration.
Proficiency in modern C++ with Docker, Linux (Ubuntu/RHEL), and common tools.

Responsibilities

Architect and field autonomy stacks on defense UAV platforms.
Perform SIL/HIL evaluations and live testing in the field.
Integrate autonomy software with aircraft autopilots, datalinks, sensors, and ground control stations.
Troubleshoot and resolve software and integration challenges to ensure dependable systems.
Engage with DoD experts and third-party vendors to deploy software on OEM hardware.
