Job summary

Applied Intuition, Inc. seeks a Software Engineer (Drone Stack Team) to architect and field autonomous systems that bridge hardware and software.

You will bring autonomy stacks to life on real vehicle platforms, perform SIL/HIL evaluations, and support live testing in the field, collaborating with teams across the company to deliver dependable, scalable autonomy capabilities for defense and commercial customers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's in Robotics, Computer Science, or related field; 3+ years robotics experience.
  • Proficiency in modern C++ with Docker, Linux (Ubuntu/RHEL), Git, GitLab, and Visual Studio Code.
  • Hands-on integration of robotics or autonomy products with Pixhawk-family autopilots (ArduPilot/XD4).

Responsibilities

  • Build modular autonomy capabilities for defense missions on embedded Linux and compute platforms.
  • Integrate autonomy software with vehicle hardware and build SOA software and inter-process communication.
  • Perform SIL/HIL bring-up, testing, and live flight testing across UAVs (Group 1-5).
  • Diagnose and resolve software and integration issues to maintain performance.
  • Engage with DoD engineers and UAS vendors to deploy autonomy software on aircraft hardware.
