Job summary

Muon Space, Inc. is seeking a senior GNC engineer proficient in embedded C++ to design guidance, navigation, and control architectures for space missions. You will define ADCS requirements, perform mission-level simulations, and help develop offline geolocation pipelines.

The role involves collaboration across teams, hands-on GNC analysis, and participation in software- and hardware-in-the-loop validation. Remote work is possible from approved locations.

Qualifications

• PhD or MSc in mechanical or aerospace engineering with 2–3 years of professional GNC experience, or extensive hands-on GNC work.
• Strong C++ skills and experience in embedded / real-time environments.
• Experience with control stability analysis of flexible bodies and ADCS.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement GNC architectures and algorithms in an embedded C++ environment.
• Define requirements for ADCS algorithms and related systems - for existing missions and roadmap development.
• Perform analysis and simulation of mission-specific GNC performance.
• Collaborate on the development of an offline geolocation processing pipeline.
• Support software- and hardware-in-the-loop test planning, execution, and validation.
