Job summary

Amazon AWS Forward Deployed Engineering seeks a Senior Security Engineer to embed with FDE teams and own the security posture of production AI systems in customer environments. You will conduct security reviews, threat modeling, and build automation to scale security across multi-tenant AI deployments.

You will secure AI/ML pipelines end-to-end and integrate security into FDE workflows with production-minded practices. Willingness to travel up to 25% is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of security experience across applications, cloud computing, and AI security.
• 5+ years identifying security issues, risks, and mitigation plans.
• 4+ years of scripting, programming, and security code review.
• Knowledge of at least two of: Scala, Java, Python, C/C++, Go.
• Experience with threat modeling and penetration testing.

Responsibilities

• Conduct security design reviews and threat modeling for production AI systems.
• Embed with delivery teams; assess security posture, identify gaps, implement controls.
• Build security automation and tooling for forward-deployed AI systems.
• Implement AI-specific threat controls: prompt injection, data isolation, model endpoint hardening.
• Integrate security into engineering workflows: CI/CD gates, secrets management, scanning.
• Triage and respond to security incidents in production AI systems; monitor signals.
• Document solutions as reusable patterns and architectural guidance.
• Travel up to 25%.
