Job summary

Balboa is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer who will embed with client teams to understand their operations and build tailored AI-enabled solutions using Pendo and related tooling. You will own end-to-end delivery from data mapping to production deployment, interfacing with senior stakeholders and delivering measurable impact from week one.

You will work in a small team of engineers and domain experts, moving projects from prototype to production, with a startup-like velocity and a focus on

Qualifications

• Strong engineering background with CS/Software Eng or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Proficiency in Python, TypeScript, or similar, with data wrangling and integrations.
• Experience taking software or data solutions to production, not just PoCs.

Responsibilities

• Translate client objectives into a delivery plan and map data/workflows for scalable deployment.
• Prototype and iterate quickly, validating with real users and adapting based on results.
• Deploy and operate production systems with coding discipline, reviews, and monitoring.
• Own the client technical relationship, partnering with delivery leads and stakeholders to build client-facing apps and analytics.
• Identify patterns from engagements to improve Balboa's internal tooling and reusable assets.
