Job summary

BICP, a San Diego-based AI, Data & Analytics consultancy, seeks an experienced Forward Deployed AI Engineer to work embedded with a retail client. You’ll turn business problems into production AI solutions, collaborating with business, Product, Data Science, and IT teams.

You will build LLM-powered applications, agents, and AI workflows, ensuring scalable, governed production deployments with measurable business value.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in software/ML/AI/data engineering fields.
• Hands-on production AI applications with GenAI experience.
• Strong Python and software fundamentals.
• Experience with RAG, embeddings, and vector databases.
• Ability to translate business problems into AI solutions.
• Experience with enterprise data integration and APIs.

Responsibilities

• Identify high-value AI opportunities with business and Product teams.
• Translate ambiguous business problems into technical requirements and prototypes.
• Design and build LLM-powered applications and AI agents.
• Develop AI solutions with enterprise data access and tools integration.
• Prototype capabilities quickly and iterate on real-user feedback.
• Collaborate with AI Platform, Architecture, Security, and Data teams.
