Job summary

Burford’s Construction LLC in Illinois seeks a Trimmer A climber to support pruning and removal tasks with precision and safety. You will perform climbing, rigging, and operation of bucket trucks and related equipment as needed.

The role requires 3+ years of experience, English communication, and the ability to lift 50 lbs. Travel and overtime may be required. Safety is a priority and training is provided.

Qualifications

• 3+ years relevant experience required.
• Able to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Bilingual (Spanish / English) a plus.
• Valid driver’s license; Commercial Driver’s License preferred.
• Able to lift in excess of 50 lbs.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice and work extended hours.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety is a top priority and promote safety-conscious work environment.
• Support team by performing pruning and removal tasks with precision.
• Climb trees near energized lines and perform maintenance tasks, excluding the most difficult ones.
• Operate bucket trucks and related equipment as needed.
• Assist in on-the-job training of less experienced climbers and bucket operators.
• Join storm restoration efforts when required.
