Job summary

Medical City Las Colinas is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (Level IV) on a full-time night shift (7P–7A). You will provide comprehensive nursing assessments and direct patient care in our NICU, while supporting teaching and collaboration across the care team.

Required qualifications include ADN/BSN with Magnet Hospital status, Texas RN license (or compact), 1 year NICU experience, and certifications such as STABLE, NRP, BCLS, and PALS.

Qualifications

• ADN / BSN required with 12 month enrollment and 24 month completion (Magnet Hospital).
• Texas State RN license or compact license accepted.
• 1 year recent Level III or IV NICU RN experience in an acute care hospital.
• STABLE must be obtained within 18 months of employment start date.
• Neonate Resuscitation must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and provide direct patient care
• Plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources
• Supervise non-licensed nursing staff within the RN scope of practice and in accordance with established policies
• Incorporate teaching into all aspects of nursing practice
