Job summary

FirstService Residential is seeking a Community Manager to lead the operation on behalf of the Board of Directors. You will oversee business and staff, ensure compliance with governing documents, and serve as the single point of contact for residents and the association.

Responsibilities include developing short- and long-range plans, coordinating with boards and committees, managing budgets, and reporting on financial positions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or related field; three years’ experience in Property Operations, Hospitality or Construction; state certifications preferable but not required.
• Seven years of community management experience or equivalent, with at least 4 years managing diverse staff.
• Management experience in a multi-department organization preferred.
• Understanding of building management, condominium law, financial planning and property management law.
• Valid Driver's License and state mandated vehicle insurance.
• Commitment to obtain CPM/PCAM/ARM/AMS designations or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction in development of short- and long-range plans; set goals and action plans with the Board.
• Review organization structure and functions; suggest changes to the Board.
• Partner with public, private and volunteer organizations to provide community services.
• Support Board sub-committees and ensure adherence to governing documents.
• Oversee day-to-day operations, staff, budgets and compliance with civil code and governing documents.
• Attend meetings and provide agendas, reports and follow-up on priorities.
