Job summary

FirstService Residential is seeking a Community Association Manager to lead day-to-day operations, oversee budgets, and ensure governance with the Board of Directors. The role requires strong leadership, staff supervision, and collaboration with community partners.

The manager will ensure compliance with governing documents, coordinate staff efforts, and drive strategic plans to enhance homeowner satisfaction and community services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or related field from an accredited college.
• Seven years of successful community management experience or equivalent, with at least 4 years leading staff with diverse expertise.
• Understanding of physical building management, Condominium law, financial planning and law affecting property management.
• Commitment to obtain CPM, PCAM, ARM or AMS designations or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction in the development of short-term and long-range plans.
• Review organization structure, job descriptions, and functions; make recommendations to the Board.
• Partner with public, private and volunteer organizations to provide community services.
• Support the activities of Board sub-committees.
• Create and implement the annual operating budget subject to Board approval.
• Monitor and report on the monthly financial position of the association.
• Recruit, hire, train and supervise all community staff in accordance with the management plan.
