Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is hiring an Auto Body Technician to deliver an elite customer experience by meticulously repairing vehicles to pre-accident condition. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles and collaborate with a team to meet KPIs and uphold brand excellence.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and technical training or an apprenticeship in auto body repair. Physical stamina for a noisy shop and safety awareness are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical training or apprenticeship in auto body repair preferred.
• Ability to read job orders and work with minimal supervision.
• Solid understanding of tools and repair methods.

Responsibilities

• Execute WOW plan consistently.
• Plans the repair work that is necessary and prepares cost estimates for customers. Uses various tools such as cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers, and pliers to repair sections of a vehicle.
• Hammers out dents, dimples, and other minor body damage; applies filler resins when needed.
• Realigns car chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Removes damaged sections and replaces with new or aftermarket parts; repairs glass and windshields.
• Replaces or repairs interior parts as needed.
• Welds and attaches parts; prepares and repaints to factory specs or equivalent.
• Completes work orders within labor time guidelines and inspects finished work.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
